eDoc Application

The start mechanism is a Java Webstart.

Requirement: Installed Java Runtime environment. At the start, a check is made that a Java Runtime is present. If not found, the download/installation of a corresponding JRE is started.

Advantages:

Download becomes smaller as no separate Java Runtime needs to be installed.

The standard Java Cache is used for the program components.

A shortcut is automatically created on the desktop or a program group from which eDoc can be directly started without opening a browser (Shortcut is user specific)

The browser is only needed when eDoc is started for the first time if the direct start link has not been created.
